Term 3 Reflections

As we wrap up Term 3, I want to take a moment to celebrate the wonderful growth we’ve seen across our school. Our students have shown impressive progress — not just in their learning but in their confidence and collaboration. It’s been a joy to watch them thrive in classrooms, in the playground, and in all the rich learning experiences we’ve shared this term.

Our school were lucky to receive an Aboriginal Education Services - Explore Sea Country grant which enabled all children to be transported to Bellerive Beach last week. Our learners  were engaged in activities to experience, understand and respect Sea Country, connecting to Tasmanian Aboriginal culture and the Australian curriculum.  All children had a fun and engaging time, enjoying a sneaky park visit to finish off the day!

A big thank you to all the parents and carers who took the time to complete our recent school survey. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and helps us shape our school’s areas of improvement.

We were also thrilled to see so many families participate in our Parent Communication Week. These conversations are vital in building strong connections between home and school, and we’re grateful for your engagement and support. It was a pleasure to welcome you into our learning spaces and celebrate the growth of all learners.

As we look ahead to Term 4, I’d like to share a brief staffing update: We welcome Mrs Hannah Courto who is teacher for our Launching into Learning program as well as working in our support team.  We thank Amanda McShane and Anna MacDonald who are sharing Mr Luttmer’s role while he is on a well deserved long-service leave.  We also say goodbye and best of luck to our Student Wellbeing Office, Karl who is moving into a new role.

Thank you again for your continued support. Wishing you all a safe and restful break, and we look forward to seeing everyone back for a vibrant Term 4.

Kind Regards,

    Jaime Allen

    Principal
