b kinder Summit
Ruby, Indie, Lily and Ojaswi represented Goodwood PS at the b kinder Summit at Lansdowne Cresent Primary on Friday. Other students from South Arm PS, Lindisfarne PS, Lansdowne PS, Taroona PS, Glenorchy PS and Swansea PS spent the day being brave by meeting new peers. The day’s focus was for students to think of a situation/problem that their school could improve. For example, a plan for welcoming new students on their first day, or a plan to develop better understandings about students from other cultures at school. Our students at Goodwood wanted to improve the safety of the playground for younger students when playing sports. Students were then guided through the steps of outline to implement the plan and then had to “pitch” it. Ruby was brave to speak in front of the audience. Ruby, Indie, Lily and Ojaswi will bring their ideas and plan to the SRC and students of Goodwood, to continue to make their school a positive and safe place for everyone.
